New York magazine published a piece this week entitled “Why The Bird Cage Is So Interesting.”

It focuses on the Bird Cage’s place in the museum’s collection, its history and its relevance to today’s design.

The article includes a few other interesting things, like the fact that, in the 1980s, the Bird Cages were made with wooden frames and that in 2006, a Bird Cage was on display at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City.
