Oliver Wood, the actor best known for playing the lovable, butler in HBO’s “The Sopranos,” is getting a gift of love from his beloved grandmother.
Wood’s mother, Peggy, died this week, and his father, William Wood, passed away earlier this month.
Wood, 43, is now raising his grandson, Oliver, with his wife, Stephanie and his two sons, Jack and Jake.
Wood, who plays Oliver in HBO series “The Wire,” has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and will have to wait until after Thanksgiving to be released from the hospital, his reps said.
“As a family, we are devastated by the passing of Oliver Wood,” Wood said in a statement released Tuesday by the family.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our loved ones and to the many wonderful people who have cared for Oliver and his family.”
The actor is currently in Los Angeles filming his upcoming film, “The Blacklist.”
He also starred in the film “Catch Me If You Can,” as well as the television series “True Blood.”
